The Mitras Recessed Gas Meter Box G01024 is a durable domestic gas meter box designed for recessed installation into an external wall. It is suitable for all domestic U6 and G4 gas meters and is designed to mirror a standard recessed electric meter box, helping create a neat and consistent appearance on residential properties.
Manufactured from tough glass reinforced plastic (GRP), the box is weather resistant and designed for long-term outdoor use. The GRP construction will not rot or corrode, making it a reliable enclosure for domestic gas meter installations.
The box is fully approved to National Grid Gas specifications and complies with BS 8499:2017 requirements for domestic gas meter boxes and meter brackets.

Installation
The Mitras G01024 is designed for recessed installation into an external wall, with the service entry positioned on the face of the wall. The required brickwork opening measures 365mm wide x 527mm high x 155mm deep.

Replacement Door
A replacement door is available separately for this meter box. The Mitras G00016-L replacement door measures 383mm wide x 550mm high.
